Cherry cabinets to bright white.

Cherry stain covered every wall of cabinets and both sides of a long island. The boxes were solid. The layout worked. The dark red-brown finish was what made the room feel old. We painted every cabinet bright white, island too. The black granite and steel appliances stayed. Next to white, they finally stand out.

Espresso cabinets to soft cream.

Dark espresso cabinets ran around the whole kitchen. They made the room feel heavy and small. Before any paint, we sealed every opening in plastic and wrapped the appliances. Then the cabinets got a soft cream finish with brass pulls.

Tan and brown to two-tone pink.

The bedroom had tan walls over a brown band, split by a white chair rail. We covered the furniture and floor first. Then we painted soft pink above the rail and deep magenta below. The crown, rail and window trim stayed crisp white.

Faded tan to black.

This courtyard entry door had faded to a flat tan. It blended into the stucco around it. We covered the ground, sanded the door smooth and painted it black. Now it anchors the whole entry.

Wood motorhome cabinets to black.

This motorhome had wood cabinets from front to back: the kitchen, the uppers and the back wall. The wood made the space feel dark and dated. We took the doors off, covered the floor and taped every edge. Then we sanded every cabinet and painted it black.
