Cabinet painting project, Ocoee, FL: Cherry cabinets to bright white.
A kitchen and its island, painted. We replaced nothing.

Same cabinets, same granite. A new kitchen.
Cherry stain covered every wall of cabinets and both sides of a long island. The boxes were solid. The layout worked. The dark red-brown finish was what made the room feel old.
We painted every cabinet bright white, island too. The black granite and steel appliances stayed. Next to white, they finally stand out.

Stage by stage
How it came together.

Covered and taped
Paper went down over the floor. Blue tape sealed every edge where a cabinet meets the floor, a wall or an appliance.

Island first: floor papered, edges taped.
Range wall, taped off before any sanding.
Fridge edge and island corner, masked. - 02
Bright white, every cabinet
Uppers, lowers and both sides of the island.

The island run, now white.
Range wall over black granite. - 03
Last details
Final touches up top. Then the paper comes up and the kitchen is ready to use.

Last touches above the fridge.
Paper up. Clean floor, clean lines.
Look closely: the granite, the appliances and the floor are the same ones from the first photo. Only the cabinets changed.
