Cabinet painting

Paint the cabinets you already have.

A lot of Orlando kitchens were built with the same stained cabinets: oak, cherry or dark espresso. The boxes are solid and the layout works. The dark finish is what makes the room feel old.

We paint them. Same cabinets, same counters. A kitchen that feels new.

Why paint

A new kitchen look, no demolition.

  • No tear-out. No new cabinets to order and wait for.
  • Your counters stay. Backsplash and plumbing stay where they are.
  • Any color you like. Bright white, soft cream, even black.
  • Far less than new. Replacing cabinets often costs 3 to 5 times more than painting them.

A kitchen client said it best:

★★★★★
“It honestly feels like a brand-new kitchen without the cost of replacing the cabinets.”

Cabinet questions

Asked before almost every job.

How long does a cabinet job take?

5 days for a small to medium kitchen. Within 24 hours of approving your colors, you get your start and finish dates in writing.

Can oak cabinets be painted?

Yes. Oak is solid wood, and it takes paint well when the prep is right. We clean, sand and prime every piece, so the paint grips and lasts. One honest note: oak has a deep grain. Paint changes the color, but a soft wood texture can still show. That is real wood, not a flaw in the paint. Want to know how yours will look? Send 3 photos for the Yes-or-No Cabinet Check. You get a straight answer before you spend a dollar. Your cabinets also come with the 3-Year Guarantee.

Can laminate cabinets be painted?

It depends on the laminate. We look at it at the free assessment, or from 3 photos with the Yes-or-No Cabinet Check, and give you a straight yes or no.

What colors work best on cabinets?

Our recent kitchens went bright white, soft cream and black. Color selection support is free with every job, so you don't have to guess.

Do I need new hardware?

No. Your knobs and pulls can go back on. If you want new ones, painting day is a good time to switch. One client wrote that Leandro “aligned the doors and changed the handles.”

Will painted cabinets hold up in a Florida kitchen?

Paint fails when it goes on dirty or slick surfaces. So we clean, sand and prime every piece first. Your cabinets come with the 3-Year Guarantee.

Painting more than the cabinets? Doing walls, doors and trim together means one round of masking and one schedule. See interior painting and door and trim painting.
